| Product Category | Pressure Measurement |
| Product Type | Pressure sensors |
| Summary | For hazardous areas, Ex ia IIC |
| Applications | Semiconductors, flat panel displays and solar/photovoltaic products; high-purity media and specialty gas systems (various gas control units, bulk gas supply and tank farm installations) |
| Key Features | Compact design; ATEX and IECEx approval for Zone 0; degree of protection: IP67 with side zero-point potentiometer; excellent EMC stability; active temperature compensation |
| Description | Compact design: the iWU-2x is one of the most compact pressure sensors on the market and is therefore ideally suited for installation in applications with limited space; it can even be easily retrofitted into existing equipment. Reliability: the iWU-2x series combines an advanced digital sensor concept with an analogue-like output signal to provide safe and accurate pressure measurement that meets the demands of today's market. Pressure measurement based on a vacuum reference, together with electronic measures for interference shielding and signal noise suppression, ensures high-accuracy pressure measurement and excellent long-term stability. The active temperature compensation function reduces the influence of temperature variations on the sensor, enabling safe operation even in applications with high temperature fluctuations (such as the Joule-Thomson effect during gas expansion) or in non-air-conditioned areas. The iWU-25 (in-line version) and iWU-26 (surface-mount version) sensors are specially designed to withstand the torsional stresses that frequently occur during installation. The special design of the thin-film sensor eliminates the risk of sensor failure caused by loads at the process connection or welded joints. Versatile: iWU-2x sensors can be installed in indoor or outdoor systems as well as in non-flammable or potentially flammable areas. The zero point is adjusted via the IP67-sealed 'side screw', ensuring effective protection during operation at all times. The iWU-2x series was developed for pressure measurement in Zone 0 explosion-protected applications. With temperature class T4, it can be used with most specialty gases under explosive conditions. |
