| Description | A diaphragm seal protects the pressure measuring instrument from damage caused by hazardous media in applications. The diaphragm seal protects the pressure measuring instrument in applications with critical media. In a diaphragm seal system, the diaphragm of the diaphragm seal separates the instrument from the medium. The pressure is transmitted to the measuring instrument via the system filling liquid inside the diaphragm seal system. We offer diaphragm seals in different designs and materials as well as system filling liquids to meet the varying application requirements of our customers. With its hygienic process connection, the model 990.24 diaphragm seal is particularly suitable for the food industry. VARIVENT ® is a registered trademark of GEA Tuchenhagen GmbH. Through the diaphragm seal, the pressure measuring instrument can be integrated into the pipe (dead-space free) using the VARINLINE ® connection components, or into a tank via the flange of the VARINLINE ® connection components. The diaphragm seal withstands the temperature of the cleaning steam during CIP and SIP processes, thus ensuring an aseptic connection between the process medium and the diaphragm seal. The diaphragm seal can be directly mounted to the measuring instrument (standard) or via a cooling element or flexible capillary (optional). In terms of material selection, WIKA offers a wide range of solutions: the upper housing of the diaphragm seal and the wetted parts can be made of the same or different materials. The wetted parts can optionally be electropolished. |
