| Product Category | Calibration Technology |
| Product Type | Reference thermometers |
| Applications | Reference thermometer for high-accuracy temperature measurement in the range -196 ... +420 °C [-321 ... +788 °F]; Used as a reference thermometer and precision instrument for testing, adjusting and calibrating temperature measuring instruments in plants and calibration laboratories; Comparative calibration in dry-well calibrators, tube furnaces and liquid calibration baths |
| Key Features | Temperature range: -196 ... +420 °C [-321 ... +788 °F]; High stability; Low drift and long service life; Connection via lead wires, banana plugs, DIN connectors or SMART connectors; Various lengths available, also suitable for fixed point calibration |
| Description | The CTP6000 platinum resistance thermometer (PRT) is suitable for accurate fixed-point laboratory temperature measurement as well as for field use, combining excellent technical characteristics with a robust product design. If the products available on the market do not meet the user's requirements, customised versions can also be supplied on request. The thermometer is available with bare wires, DIN connectors and SMART connectors. With the SMART connector, the sensor-specific coefficients can be stored directly in the connector, so that the thermometer can be switched easily between instruments or channels without causing confusion. During calibration, the probe under test and the reference thermometer are exposed to the same temperature in the heat source. Once the temperature has stabilised, the system reads the temperature of the probe under test or measures its output signal (resistance, thermocouple voltage, standard signals, etc.), and then compares the reading with the measured value of the reference thermometer. With a length of up to 500 mm [19.69 in], the CTP6000 has been specially designed for fixed point calibration and can therefore achieve the highest possible accuracy. |
