Product CategoryTemperature Measurement
Product TypeResistance thermometers
SummaryWith connecting cable
ApplicationsHeat pumps Heating plants Solar systems Heating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems Mechanical engineering
Key FeaturesMeasuring range: -50 ... +200 °C Pipe system remains sealed No influence on the measuring medium Quick and easy installation Aluminium sleeve for good heat transfer
DescriptionThe model TF44 strap-on temperature sensor is used to measure pipe surface temperatures in the range of -50 ... +200 °C [-58 ... +392 °F]. By measuring the temperature indirectly, the medium is not influenced on the one hand, and on the other hand the medium cannot affect the service life of the thermometer (e.g. through high pressure loads or aggressive media). The special shape of the aluminium sleeve of the strap-on temperature sensor ensures excellent heat transfer from the pipe to the thermometer. Therefore, the use of a heat transfer compound is usually not required. To minimise the influence of the ambient temperature, we recommend insulating the measuring point. Particularly when the temperature difference between the medium and the environment is large, good insulation of the measuring point is essential. For quick and easy installation, the TF44 is equipped with the WIKA quick-mounting bracket, which is suitable for pipes of different diameters. The model TF44 strap-on temperature sensor can thus be installed easily without any tools. The TF44 consists of a measuring element inside an aluminium sleeve. The probe is connected to the evaluating electronics via a junction box made of PVC or silicone.
