| Description | Application Both connection sets contain various test adapters for adapting WIKA calibration instruments to existing processes via the MINIMESS® 1620 or MINIMESS® 1215 quick-connect coupling ranges. The selection and quality of the adapters are specially matched to the various WIKA calibration instruments. Two connection sets for different systems In practice, you will frequently encounter the 1620 and 1215 series pressure test couplings. These numbers denote the thread sizes of the pressure test couplings: 1620 denotes a thread size of M16 x 2, and 1215 denotes a thread size of M12 x 1.5. WIKA therefore offers one connection set for each of the two systems. Different adapter types The components of the two connection sets can be divided into four different categories. Pressure test couplings have a special external thread on one side and a BSP or NPT external thread on the other side. In addition, the pressure test couplings are fitted with a non-return valve. Direct connection for measuring instruments features a special internal thread with an internal metal mandrel. The metal mandrel is used to open the non-return valve of the pressure test coupling. Hose couplings have special external threads on both sides. Compared with pressure test couplings, they have no integrated non-return valve and are therefore particularly suitable for connecting two hoses. Measuring hoses have special internal threads on both sides. |
