| Description | The high-quality model PG23CP pressure gauge is designed specifically for the process industry. Its safety-pattern design makes it suitable for the petrochemical, natural gas, power plant and water/wastewater treatment industries. Pressure measuring points are usually located on control elements or control panels, such as hydraulic control units (HUPs). The fully welded front ring combined with a matching gasket ensures that the gauge fits flush against the panel. This installation condition basically requires a degree of protection of IP 66. For this purpose, the seal between the PG23CP and the panel is achieved with a fully welded mounting ring and a matching flat gasket. Pressure gauges for the process industry are manufactured entirely from stainless steel for higher corrosion resistance. This enables their use in corrosive environments or for measuring corrosive gaseous and liquid media. Safety-pattern pressure gauges are defined in the EN 837-1 pressure gauge standard; however, in most applications a safety-pattern gauge is not required. WIKA manufactures the PG23CP ('S1' safety version) pressure gauge. The rear of the gauge case is provided with a pressure relief opening, which ensures safety by relieving pressure through the back in the event of internal overpressure (e.g. caused by a ruptured Bourdon tube). For demanding operating conditions (such as vibration), this product is also optionally available with liquid filling. |
