| Description | BLR-type reed sensors are used for continuous monitoring and recording of the level in conjunction with a transmitter. They operate on the float principle with magnetic transmission (permanent magnet, reed contact chain and resistance measuring chain) in a 3-wire potentiometer circuit. The float located inside the chamber of the magnetic bypass level indicator contains a magnetic system that actuates the reed contacts on the resistance measuring chain (potentiometer) through the bypass tube wall and the sensor tube wall. The voltage value is proportional to the level. The resistance measuring chain consists of reed contacts and resistors soldered onto a PCB. Depending on the requirement and design, various contact gaps from 5 mm to 18 mm are available.
