| Description | A diaphragm seal protects the pressure measuring instrument from damage caused by various media. In a diaphragm seal system, the diaphragm of the diaphragm seal separates the measuring instrument from the process medium. The filling liquid inside the diaphragm seal system transmits the pressure hydraulically to the measuring instrument. We offer diaphragm seals in different designs and materials as well as system filling liquids to meet the varying application requirements of our customers. For more technical information on diaphragm seals and diaphragm seal systems, please refer to IN 00.06 “Application, principle of operation, designs”. The model 990.48 diaphragm seal can be used as a replacement for blind flanges. Thanks to its special extended design, this diaphragm seal is suitable for use in thick-walled or lined pipes and vessels. The diaphragm seal can be directly mounted to the measuring instrument (standard) or via a cooling element or flexible capillary (optional). For this model, WIKA offers a special alloy steel that is mainly used in the fertilizer industry. |
