Technical Specifications

Product CategoryTemperature Measurement
Product TypeThermowells / Protection tubes
SummarySuitable for hygienic applications
ApplicationsHygienic applications; food and beverage industry; pharmaceutical industry, biotechnology and active ingredient production
Key FeaturesMaterials and surface finish quality comply with hygienic design standards; fully welded construction; can be used with TR21-A and TR22-A electronic resistance thermometers, with replaceable measuring elements; can be used with mechanical thermometers, temperature switches and DiwiTherm®
DescriptionThe TW22 protection tube is used to install a thermometer or measuring element into the measuring process and protects the sensor from harsh process conditions. The protection tube is assembled to a suitable hygienic fitting via a weld-in sleeve and can be installed in pipes and vessels. Thanks to the rotatable threaded connection, the connection head or display can be loosened and adjusted to the required position. When used with the TR21-A and TR22-A resistance thermometers, the connection head can be removed together with the measuring element. This allows users to calibrate the thermometer together with the entire measuring chain on site without disconnecting any electrical connections. In addition, this avoids opening the process connection, significantly reducing the risk of contamination.
