| Description | Application The CPA2501 is widely used in aerospace calibration for calibrating altimeters and airspeed indicators and for reading relevant data such as altitude, speed, rate of climb (vertical speed) and airspeed rate (acceleration). The product can be used in various aviation instruments with high accuracy requirements. Functional flexibility The CPA2501 data display unit is equipped with an altitude channel and a channel comprising Ps/Pt and Ps/Qc, and can also be configured individually as an altitude/rate-of-climb indicator (Ps only), a single airspeed/airspeed rate indicator (Qc only), or as a Ps/Pt or Ps/Qc dual-channel unit. In the Ps/Pt version, the airspeed/airspeed rate channel is a calculated channel. Customers can optionally order a barometer for indication on the front panel or as a separate channel. The pressure range of each channel can be specified by the customer. The pressure range section of the specification sheet on page 2 gives range guidelines. Versions The CPA2501 is available in the following versions: Ps (altitude mode), Qc (airspeed mode), Ps/Qc with a virtual Pt channel, Ps/Pt with a virtual Qc channel. An optional barometric sensor can be added to the above versions. Communication The user can operate the instrument manually via the large touchscreen. Navigation within the intuitive menu structure is easy to learn. Touch-sensitive icons open the screens for configuration and calibration. Information can be shared with a remote PC via RS-232, IEEE-488, USB or Ethernet. The communication commands of this product have not been updated and are the same as those of the Mensor 2108 and 2109 or WIKA “SCPI”. |
