| Description | The core component of the vibrating level switch is the vibrating drive located inside the tuning fork. When the tuning fork is immersed in the medium, the resonance frequency of the fork decreases. The electronics detect this frequency change and convert it into a switching signal. Level changes can thus be detected very accurately, regardless of the mounting position. The respective switch point can be changed by extending the pipe. Depending on the application, the accuracy of the switch point can be individually adjusted via ten sensitivity levels. The TLS-S model also allows a switch-on delay time of 1 ... 20 seconds to be set. Explosion-protected versions are also available for use in hazardous areas. The various models of vibrating level switches are suitable for operating temperatures of -100 ... +200 °C [-148 ... +392 °F] and operating pressures of -0.1 ... +10 MPa [-14 ... +1,450 psi]. The vibrating level switches cover a medium density range of 500 ... 2,500 g/cm 3 [289 ... 1,445 oz/in 3 ]. The viscosity of the medium should be between 0.1 and 10,000 cP [0.24 and 21,190 lb/ft·h]. |
