| Description | A diaphragm seal protects the pressure measuring instrument from damage caused by various media. In a diaphragm seal system, the diaphragm of the diaphragm seal separates the measuring instrument from the process medium. The pressure is transmitted to the measuring instrument via the filling liquid inside the diaphragm seal system. We offer diaphragm seals in different designs and materials as well as system filling liquids to meet the varying application requirements of our customers. For more technical information on diaphragm seals and diaphragm seal systems, please refer to IN 00.06 “Application, principle of operation, designs”. Thanks to its flush-mounted process connection, the model 990.17 diaphragm seal is ideally suited for installation in storage tanks. Through a suitable welding flange it can be integrated directly into tanks and storage vessels. The diaphragm seal is also suitable for level measurement of media of high or low viscosity under pressure in the process. The model 990.17 diaphragm seal withstands high temperatures and chemical cleaning solutions, making it particularly suitable for CIP cleaning processes. The diaphragm seal can be directly mounted to the measuring instrument (standard) or via a cooling element or flexible capillary (optional). In terms of material selection, WIKA offers a wide range of solutions: the diaphragm seal and the wetted parts can be made of the same or different materials. The wetted parts can optionally be electropolished. |
