Technical Specifications

Product CategoryTemperature Measurement
Product TypeThermometers with switch contacts
SummaryStainless steel version
ApplicationsControl and regulation of industrial production processes Monitoring of plant operation and switching of electrical circuits Chemical industry, petrochemical industry, process technology and food industry Suitable for corrosive media
Key FeaturesHigh reliability and long service life Universal application Case and probe stem made of stainless steel Instruments with inductive switch contacts available for hazardous areas Switch contact instruments suitable for PLC applications
DescriptionThe bimetallic thermometer with switch contacts can be used in all applications where the process temperature must be displayed on site and electrical circuits switched at the same time. The switch contacts (also known as "alarm contacts") open or close an electrical circuit depending on the pointer position of the measuring instrument. The switch contacts are adjustable over the full scale range. The instrument pointer (actual value pointer) can rotate freely across the entire scale range, independent of the setting. The set-point pointer can be corrected through the instrument window using a pluggable key (mounted on the terminal box). The switch contacts include both multiple contacts and individually adjustable set-points. When the actual value pointer exceeds or falls below the set value, the contacts are actuated. The switch contacts include inductive and electronic versions, whereby the inductive contacts can be used in hazardous areas and the electronic contacts can be used to switch programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
