| Description | A diaphragm seal protects the pressure measuring instrument from damage caused by various media. In a diaphragm seal system, the diaphragm of the diaphragm seal separates the measuring instrument from the process medium. The filling liquid inside the diaphragm seal system transmits the pressure hydraulically to the measuring instrument. We offer diaphragm seals in different designs and materials as well as system filling liquids to meet the varying application requirements of our customers. For more technical information on diaphragm seals and diaphragm seal systems, please refer to IN 00.06 “Application, principle of operation, designs”. With the model 990.16 diaphragm seal, high nominal pressures of up to PN 400 / class 2,500 can be realised. Thanks to its design with an internal diaphragm, accurate measurement is possible even with small flanged connections. The process connection side of the flange can be cleaned and flushed via optionally selected flushing holes. The diaphragm seal can be directly mounted to the measuring instrument (standard) or via a cooling element or flexible capillary (optional). In terms of material selection, WIKA offers a wide range of solutions: the upper housing of the diaphragm seal and the wetted parts can be made of the same or different materials. The wetted parts can also be spray-coated or plated. |
